Taking a Winter Break

3 Dec

Holy moly. I can’t believe it’s time to wish you a happy holiday season. Did you score any great Black Friday deals?

Now that the holiday season is officially here, it’s time to share my winter break plans, which includes spoiling my family with gifts, myself with sleep, and also taking a short blogging vacation for the month of December. Like so many of us this time of year, I’m aiming to slow down a bit this holiday season, to “live in the moment” as the kids say.

In order to make the most of such a stimulating and festive time of year, I’m choosing to unplug just a tad and do a bit more reading than writing. Then after the first of the year, with a few weeks of digital respite under my belt, I’m planning to hit you (hard) with some fancy fresh stories and photos.

In case you’re curious, during my winter recess, I’m planning on…

  • The Round House
  • Brain on Fire
  • Any other recommendations?

  • A new hiking trail
  • The Monterey Bay Aquarium
  • How much Mexican food I can eat in one month

Since I’m aiming for a bit more balance and not a complete digital detox, I may pop in here and there to say hey or share a story, because, like it or not, I make the rules around here. I’m also¬†all about Instagram these days, so if double tapping photos of people enjoying libations is your kind of jam, please, by all means, hit me up. I hope you have a great holiday season filled with whatever you want it to be filled with.

Catch you back here in early January! Or maybe before. You just never know! <Cackles. Drops mic.>
